On paper, one gains but feels shallow - Review and Observation of the First Trial of Li Qun Institute in 2019
In order to improve our lawyers' ability to handle criminal cases and their quality and efficiency, on the afternoon of April 29, we organized all the lawyers of the Criminal Department, as well as lawyers, trainee lawyers and paralegals who have been in practice for less than three years to observe the trial of the first instance of the intentional homicide case hosted by lawyer Huang Daojin in the Second Trial Division of the Intermediate people's court of Taizhou City. This was the first trial of 2019 held by Liqun.

After the trial observation, our lawyer conducted evaluations around aspects such as clothing, behavior, language expression, logic, on-site response, court investigation, debate, communication with the parties, cooperation and coordination with the professional community. Observing the lawyers' comments one by one, while acknowledging lawyer Huang Daojin's performance in the trial, they also put forward their own suggestions.
Summary speech by Lawyer Wang Xinping, Director of Liqun Institute
The so-called "using people as a mirror can reveal gains and losses", which is the most intuitive and efficient way to improve one's professional skills by listening to the trial process of cases, is of great benefit to the study of legal issues and the summary of trial skills. The selected cases for this trial observation activity are typical and have strong practical guiding significance. We hope that every lawyer can seriously think and self examine, truly achieving the goal of summarizing experience, finding gaps, and learning from each other during the trial observation.
